Ann has been working as a Registered Midwife since 2000. Her midwifery career began in British Columbia where she also held the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Midwifery at BC Women’s Hospital. Ann graduated from Seattle Midwifery School, where her training and post-graduate work included providing care to an underserved Hispanic population at a Chicago community health centre and working at a birthing hospital in Manila, Philippines.
In 2004, Ann and her family returned to their roots in the Waterloo area after her own two sons were born with the assistance of midwives.
Ann has a previous degree in French from the University of Waterloo. She has a background as a massage therapist and doula, and has worked and travelled extensively abroad. These experiences have cultivated a keen interest in working with diverse populations. She can provide midwifery services in French, Spanish and English.
Providing individualized care that is safe, sensitive and supportive is at the heart of Ann’s approach to midwifery care. She looks forward to getting to know you and your family.
