Kavitah Sinclair

My Name is Kavitah Sinclair. I am a senior midwifery student studying at McMaster University. I am excited to be working in this community since I have lived in the KW region, first as an undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo, and for the last 7 years.  I previously worked as a computer engineer in Ottawa, ON and became interested in midwifery after the birth of my children. During my midwifery education I have worked with community midwives in Cambridge as well as community and hospitalist midwives in Markham. I have also had the privilege of learning from other healthcare professionals such as obstetricians, maternal fetal specialists, nurses and other allied health professionals at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, McMaster University Medical Centre, Brantford General Hospital and Markham Stouffville Hospital. I am enthusiastic to learn more about supporting client choice and physiologic birth. I love reading and walks in the woods. My favourite activity is having a cup of tea with a sweet treat and a good book or TV show at the end of the day! I hope to have the honour of being part of your team during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum.
