Madeleine (Maddie) Donelson

I am thrilled to be joining the Blue Heron team! Born and raised in Waterloo, I feel privileged to be providing midwifery care and supporting clients in a community I hold dear to my heart.

Prior to midwifery, I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at Queen’s University. It was during this time I gained an appreciation for the wonderful work of midwives and knew this profession aligned with my values and passions. I have since graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at McMaster University with clinical experience working in the KW region and beyond, including my final clinical placement with Blue Heron Midwives. I strive to promote informed choice, prioritize client wellbeing, and build trusting relationships throughout all aspects of care. I truly look forward to supporting you and your family during this exciting transition to parenthood.

Beyond midwifery, I enjoy spending time outdoors, trying new recipes, reading a good book, and quality time with loved ones!
